Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures
- Take accurate patient vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare and administer medications under provider supervision
- Maintain organized patient records and electronic health systems
- Ensure exam rooms are sanitized and fully stocked
- Educate patients on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays as scheduled
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- NYS medical assistant certification (or obtain within 90 days)
