Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient preparation, specimen collection, and basic laboratory tests
- Perform vital sign measurements, EKGs, and administer injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, manage appointment scheduling, and handle insurance documentation
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
