Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for disruptive technologies across AI, biotech, and energy sectors
- Develop 2026+ scenario models with quantitative and qualitative frameworks
- Translate complex future projections into actionable business strategies
- Present foresight findings to executive leadership and investor boards
- Coordinate with R&D teams to validate future-state prototypes
- Author annual 'State of 2026' industry reports
- Mentor junior futurists in methodology and critical thinking
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent field
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Portfolio demonstrating published future-state analyses or scenario planning
- Expertise in trend analysis tools (e.g., Delphi methods, horizon scanning)
- Strong presentation skills with executive audiences
