Responsibilities
- Anticipate and analyze global technology trends, market disruptions, and societal shifts through 2026+
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging domains (AI ethics, quantum computing, climate tech)
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to prepare for alternative futures
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-focused insights into development cycles
- Present foresight frameworks to executive leadership and investors
- Build and manage a network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Policy, or related field
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurism roles
- Proven track record of translating foresight into business strategy
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (biotech, AR/VR, etc.)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario modeling capabilities
- Strong presentation skills with executive-level audiences
- Published work in futures or technology publications preferred
- Experience with horizon scanning and trend analysis methodologies
