Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts post-2025
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating AI ethics, biotech convergence, and climate adaptation
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary workshops with engineers, designers, and policy experts
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports with predictive models for board and stakeholder audiences
- Partner with product teams to embed foresight into development lifecycles
- Represent Horizon Labs at global innovation summits and future-focused conferences
- Mentor junior futurists through our Future Leaders program
Qualifications
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology roles
- Portfolio demonstrating trend analysis for 2025+ scenarios (quantum computing, neurotech, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Expertise in scenario planning frameworks (e.g., STEEP, Delphi method)
- Experience with AI-driven trend analysis tools and predictive modeling
- Published thought leadership in future-focused publications
- Deep understanding of ethical implications of emerging technologies
- Proven ability to translate complex futures into actionable business strategies
