Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead cross-functional R&D sprints in quantum AI, biotech convergence, and climate tech
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Translate emerging technologies into scalable commercial applications
- Mentor teams in design thinking methodologies and rapid prototyping
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite stakeholders and investors
- Drive patent strategy for breakthrough technologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation or R&D leadership within tech or advanced manufacturing
- Proven track record delivering quantum/AI solutions with measurable ROI
- Expertise in futures forecasting methodologies (e.g., horizon scanning, Delphi studies)
- PhD or equivalent in computational science, physics, or engineering
- Deep understanding of emerging tech commercialization frameworks
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants ($10M+)
- Portfolio of deployed innovations with industry impact
- Scrum Master or PMP certification preferred
