Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps aligning with emerging trends in quantum computing, AI governance, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype breakthrough solutions targeting 2026 market readiness
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies and assess commercial viability
- Partner with venture capital arms to identify and acquire disruptive startups
- Present strategic recommendations to board members and external stakeholders
- Drive innovation workshops with Fortune 500 clients to co-create 2026 digital transformation plans
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused allocation strategies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record developing technology roadmaps with 5+ year horizons
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, climate tech, or biotech
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Engineering, or Business with futurism focus
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience securing $1M+ in innovation grants or corporate funding
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., AC/SCIP) or equivalent
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful tech commercialization projects
