Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential for 2026 markets
- Architect strategic technology roadmaps aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals and corporate innovation targets
- Direct cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption and decentralized AI systems
- Develop patent-pending solutions for carbon-negative manufacturing and circular economy implementation
- Present future-vision frameworks to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Establish industry-wide standards for ethical AI deployment and quantum computing governance
- Mentor junior researchers in future-proofing methodologies and exponential thinking frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Bioengineering, or Futurology with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of launching technologies with 10M+ user adoption or $100M+ market impact
- Expertise in exponential technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI safety protocols
- Published research in Nature/Science on technology forecasting or disruptive innovation
- Fluency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) for future-tech initiatives
- Certification in Ethical AI Governance (IEEE) and Quantum Algorithm Design
- Portfolio demonstrating at least three commercialized future-facing technologies
