Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026 technology landscape (AI, quantum computing, biotech, AR/VR)
- Develop strategic roadmaps for next-generation product development aligned with future market demands
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate futuristic concepts
- Present foresight insights to C-suite executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Author thought leadership publications on emerging technologies
- Mentor junior futurists and build future-focused capabilities within the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership role
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, quantum, biotech, AR/VR)
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial products
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Exceptional analytical and systems-thinking capabilities
- Experience with scenario planning and futures methodologies
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio of published foresight work or innovation patents
