Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, neural interfaces) with 3-5 year strategic impact analysis
- Design and validate prototype architectures for 2026-era digital infrastructure
- Develop cross-disciplinary innovation roadmaps integrating quantum computing, synthetic biology, and spatial computing
- Partner with ethics councils to establish governance frameworks for autonomous systems
- Present futuristic technology blueprints to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage a $2M innovation budget for experimental R&D initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with 8+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record developing technology roadmaps with 5+ year implementation cycles
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic engineering, or synthetic biology
- Published research in IEEE/ACM proceedings or equivalent tier journals
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) for futuristic research programs
- Portfolio demonstrating at least three commercialized futuristic technologies
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum simulation frameworks
