Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 2026 technology roadmaps across quantum computing, biotech, and AI sectors
- Lead scenario planning workshops for C-suite executives on disruptive tech impacts
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and DARPA
- Author quarterly 'Future State Briefs' on emerging regulatory and ethical frameworks
- Direct cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype 2026-viable solutions
- Mentor a team of futurists and technology anthropologists
- Represent Horizon Labs at global tech foresight forums (Web Summit, SXSW)
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight roles with Fortune 500 or government innovation labs
- Published research on exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (horizon scanning, Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Deep understanding of 2026 regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, US Innovation Act)
- Track record of commercializing future-focused technologies
- Experience with ethical AI governance frameworks (IEEE 7000, EU Guidelines)
