Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for AI systems deployed in healthcare and autonomous vehicles
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments for machine learning models using advanced statistical methods
- Develop policy recommendations for regulatory compliance with evolving AI governance standards
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineers to embed ethical considerations into development lifecycles
- Author white papers and position papers on AI ethics for industry conferences and policy forums
- Mentor junior researchers on responsible AI methodologies and emerging ethical challenges
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure alignment with international AI regulations and standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field with 3+ years in AI ethics
- Expertise in fairness metrics, bias mitigation techniques, and explainable AI (XAI)
- Proven experience developing AI ethics policies for regulated industries (healthcare/finance preferred)
- Strong background in applied ethics frameworks (utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics)
- Proficiency in Python and statistical analysis tools for bias detection
- Published research in top-tier AI ethics journals or conferences
- Deep understanding of global AI regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST RMF, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethical concepts to technical teams
