Job Description
We are pioneering the next generation of computational paradigms. Apex Horizon Technologies is seeking a visionary Future-Ready Quantum Architect to design scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computing solutions. If you are passionate about reshaping the digital landscape in 2026 and beyond, this is your opportunity to lead from the forefront.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical quantum mechanics and practical software engineering. You will work directly with our R&D team to optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications, ensuring our systems are prepared for the quantum supremacy era.
Why join us?
- Work on cutting-edge technology that will define the next decade.
- Competitive compensation and equity packages.
- Flexible remote-first hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- System Design: Architect and design quantum circuit layouts and error correction protocols for superconducting and trapped-ion hardware.
- Algorithm Optimization: Develop and refine quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE) to solve complex optimization problems in logistics and finance.
- Integration: Integrate quantum modules with classical hybrid systems to ensure seamless data flow and processing.
- Mentorship: Guide a team of junior engineers and researchers in best practices for quantum programming and hardware interfacing.
- Research: Stay ahead of the curve on emerging quantum hardware trends (e.g., NISQ devices, fault tolerance) and propose innovative architectural improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. or Masterβs degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field with a focus on Quantum Information Science.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in software engineering or computational physics, with at least 2 years specifically in quantum computing.
- Tools: Proficiency in Python (Cirq, Qiskit, PyQuil) or C++ for high-performance quantum simulation.
- Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with major quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, Google Sycamore, Rigetti).
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues and design scalable architectures.
