Responsibilities
- Design and implement 2026 technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI neural interfaces, and blockchain infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing prototype systems for autonomous decision-making frameworks
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies (nanotech, biocomputing, neuromorphic chips)
- Secure federal grants and venture capital for next-gen R&D initiatives
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and government technology councils
- Maintain patent portfolio with 15+ annual filings for proprietary technologies
- Mentor junior engineers in ethical AI development and responsible innovation practices
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Quantum Engineering, or related field with 8+ years R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching at least two patented technologies with commercial impact
- Deep expertise in machine learning architectures, quantum algorithms, and decentralized systems
- Experience securing $5M+ in government innovation grants (DARPA, NSF, DoE)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on emerging technologies
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, Qiskit, and blockchain development frameworks
- Strong network within IEEE, ACM, and global innovation ecosystems
