Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 3-5 year technology roadmaps for 2026+ initiatives
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech convergence) for commercial viability
- Design and implement innovation frameworks to accelerate prototype-to-market cycles
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology strategy to C-suite and board stakeholders with data-driven insights
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for experimental technologies
- Oversee patent portfolio development for breakthrough innovations
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or corporate innovation leadership
- Proven track record commercializing emerging technologies (e.g., quantum applications, generative AI)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI safety, or neurotech
- Experience with scenario planning and futures forecasting methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation (whitepapers, patents, or industry talks)
- Background in scaling R&D operations from lab to market
