Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 2026 technology innovation roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in emerging fields (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, carbon-negative tech)
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present strategic technology proposals to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Mentor a team of 8+ innovation specialists and foster an experimental culture
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation funding through compelling business cases
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, CERN, and other future-tech institutions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic technology roles with 5+ in emerging tech planning
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $50M+ revenue impact
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum computing, AGI safety, or biotech convergence
- Certified Innovation Professional (CIP) or equivalent strategic foresight certification
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier-1 tech journal
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (SBIR/STTR) and venture capital
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
