Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and synthetic biology sectors
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with commercial potential
- Lead cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and executive teams
- Build financial models for emerging tech ventures with $10M+ budgets
- Pioneer patent strategies for breakthrough innovations
- Represent company at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES, etc.)
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech roles with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech focus
- Proven track record launching products with 7+ year market impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Strong financial modeling and venture capital experience
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or major media
- Fluency in scenario planning and trend analysis frameworks
- Global network with tech VCs and research institutions
