Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) with 3-5 year impact projections
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligning technological innovation with business objectives for 2026 and beyond
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify first-mover advantages
- Collaborate with R&D teams to evaluate technical feasibility and commercial viability of innovations
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, venture capitalists, and innovation hubs
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to integrate emerging technologies into product pipelines
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MBA, MS, PhD) or equivalent experience
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Strong executive presence and experience presenting to C-level audiences
- Published thought leadership on future technology trends
- Experience working in fast-paced startup or corporate innovation environments
