Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and assess business impact
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with organizational growth objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate futuristic concepts
- Establish strategic partnerships with startups, research institutions, and industry pioneers
- Present visionary insights to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Drive adoption of forward-thinking methodologies across departments
- Monitor global tech policy shifts and regulatory implications
- Curate an internal 'Future Tech' knowledge repository and training program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products or services
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, IoT, blockchain, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Strong executive communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MBA, MS in Technology/Engineering preferred)
- Published thought leadership in innovation or future technology
- Portfolio of implemented strategic initiatives with measurable impact
