Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for breakthrough technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, AR/VR) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Present strategic tech visions to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Establish KPIs for emerging tech adoption and ROI tracking
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget across pilot projects
- Author thought leadership on future-tech trends for industry forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation management
- Proven track record of scaling emerging technologies (quantum, AI, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Expertise in agile development and rapid prototyping frameworks
- Strong financial acumen for tech investment evaluation
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism
- Certifications in emerging tech domains preferred
