- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, neural interfaces, and climate tech
- Identify emerging tech trends (2026-2030) and assess commercial viability
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present technology vision to C-suite and board of directors
- Mentor junior strategists in foresight methodologies and ethical tech frameworks
- Secure $10M+ annual R&D budget through compelling ROI projections
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in emerging tech leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing breakthrough innovations
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum algorithms, or carbon-negative tech
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature, or equivalent tier
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (DARPA, NSF)
- Fluency in scenario planning and technology forecasting models
- Security clearance preferred for federal collaboration projects
