Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps spanning 2026-2030, anticipating industry disruptors
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum algorithms, AR/VR interfaces)
- Advocate for ethical AI frameworks and sustainable tech adoption across departments
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members on future tech opportunities
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for experimental technology initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership with proven 2020+ technology adoption cycles
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, or sustainable tech
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or MIT Technology Review preferred
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Futures Platform, Palisade @RISK)
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism with 5+ years industry experience
- Experience scaling experimental technologies to enterprise-level production
- Strong network with DARPA, NSF, or EU Horizon Europe innovation programs
