Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology foresight frameworks analyzing quantum computing, AI ethics, and space commercialization trends
- Architect strategic innovation roadmaps aligning emerging tech with market disruption opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops with R&D teams to translate future scenarios into product development pipelines
- Partner with venture capital arm to identify and evaluate breakthrough startups in deep tech sectors
- Author thought leadership publications on technological singularity implications and human augmentation
- Advise C-suite on policy implications of emerging technologies including regulatory frameworks
- Represent company at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES, etc.) shaping industry discourse
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Technology Forecasting, Futures Studies, or relevant technical field
- Minimum 8 years experience in strategic technology planning at Fortune 500 or deep tech startup
- Proven track record predicting tech adoption curves (e.g., blockchain, AR/VR)
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies and horizon scanning techniques
- Strong understanding of quantum computing, AGI development, and biotech convergence
- Exceptional communication skills presenting complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published author or speaker at major technology conferences (optional but preferred)
- Certification in Foresight Methodology (e.g., from foresight certification program)
