Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ innovation roadmaps aligned with emerging tech trends (quantum AI, biotech fusion, spatial computing)
- Lead cross-functional teams through end-to-end R&D cycles from ideation to prototype validation
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Analyze patent landscapes and emerging technologies to identify first-mover advantages
- Present innovation frameworks to executive stakeholders and external investors
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an experimental culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech development
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products (3+ case studies required)
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or metaverse architecture
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- Proficiency in innovation frameworks (Design Thinking, Lean Startup, TRIZ)
- Experience securing Series B+ funding for tech ventures
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or major tech publications
