Responsibilities
- Anticipate and analyze global trends across technology, economics, and societal shifts to inform 2026+ strategic plans
- Develop actionable innovation roadmaps aligned with organizational vision and market disruption forecasts
- Lead scenario planning workshops to prepare for alternative futures and systemic risks
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-proof solutions using emerging technologies (AI, quantum, bio-convergence)
- Present strategic foresight findings to executive stakeholders and board members
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-thinking methodologies and trend analysis
- Establish thought leadership through whitepapers, speaking engagements, and industry forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused leadership
- Proven track record translating trend analysis into successful business initiatives
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and systemic risk assessment
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futurism publications
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on future-proofing strategies
