Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments and healthcare services across multiple departments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Act as primary liaison between patients, physicians, and insurance providers
- Process insurance claims and verify coverage eligibility
- Train new staff on healthcare protocols and patient confidentiality standards
- Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and implement improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize operational workflows
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years of healthcare coordination or medical office experience
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Valid Texas state healthcare certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Spanish fluency highly desirable
