Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient vitals, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment and supplies
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain organized charts
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Basic phlebotomy and EKG skills certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask in high-volume settings
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
