Responsibilities
- Take patient vital signs and prepare medical histories for physician review
- Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Assist with patient education regarding treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate laboratory specimens and ensure proper handling protocols
- Maintain clean, organized examination rooms and medical equipment
- Support front desk operations including appointment scheduling and patient intake
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
