Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Monitoring: Continuously monitor server racks, cooling systems, and power distribution units to ensure optimal performance.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, racking and stacking, cable management, and component replacement on servers and networking equipment.
- Incident Response: Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise during the night shift to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities, changes, and incidents in the ticketing system.
- Power & Cooling: Inspect and adjust environmental controls to prevent overheating and ensure safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Certification: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in data center operations or IT support.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a server room environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, basic networking, and hardware diagnostics.
