Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize our cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) during night operations to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Execute automated deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes (Jenkins, GitLab) for nightly releases.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, log anomalies, and performance bottlenecks that occur during off-peak hours.
- Manage and scale containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team via documentation and handover reports.
- Implement and maintain security protocols and compliance standards for nightly access.
- Conduct routine backups and disaster recovery drills to ensure data integrity.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Systems Administration.
- Strong proficiency in Linux environments (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure.
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Proven track record of working in a Night Shift environment or availability to work rotating night shifts.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
