Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the local network infrastructure and server systems during the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to internal staff via ticketing systems (ServiceNow) and remote desktop tools.
- Perform routine security patches, updates, and system backups outside of peak business hours.
- Respond to and resolve critical hardware and software incidents with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to hand over unresolved tickets and document all maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular physical inspections of server rooms and IT equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related technical field.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively without direct supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and common network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP).
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
