Responsibilities

  • Monitor server performance, network traffic, and system health during the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime.
  • Respond to and resolve Tier 2 helpdesk tickets, including password resets, software installations, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine security patches and updates on servers and workstations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the Day Shift Lead or third-party vendors when necessary.
  • Document all support tickets, resolutions, and system changes in our ticketing system (Jira/Servicenow).
  • Conduct nightly backups and verify data integrity to prevent data loss.
  • Assist with basic hardware repairs, cable management, and asset inventory checks.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
