We are looking for a proactive problem-solver to maintain our critical infrastructure while the world sleeps.
Responsibilities
- Monitor server performance, network traffic, and system health during the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Respond to and resolve Tier 2 helpdesk tickets, including password resets, software installations, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Perform routine security patches and updates on servers and workstations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the Day Shift Lead or third-party vendors when necessary.
- Document all support tickets, resolutions, and system changes in our ticketing system (Jira/Servicenow).
- Conduct nightly backups and verify data integrity to prevent data loss.
- Assist with basic hardware repairs, cable management, and asset inventory checks.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical customer service.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11).
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Must be available to work the night shift (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is a strong plus.
