As the Night Shift IT Support Specialist, you will act as the guardian of our network infrastructure during non-business hours. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage server maintenance, and ensure a seamless transition for the day shift team. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who can maintain high standards of service around the clock.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via our ticketing system.
- Perform nightly system backups, patch management, and security audits.
- Monitor server health and resolve critical alerts immediately to prevent downtime.
- Document all technical resolutions and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Collaborate with the Day Shift team to ensure a smooth handover of unresolved tickets.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software assets.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IT Support, Help Desk, or Systems Administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and common networking protocols.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) consistently.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification preferred.
