Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake assessments and vital sign monitoring during night shift hours
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical tasks
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment for next-day procedures
- Coordinate patient education on treatment plans and medication instructions
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification with ability to maintain certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift 25 pounds
- Exceptional communication skills for night shift patient interactions
- Valid California driver's license for potential on-call duties
