Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments during night shifts
- Administer medications, injections, and perform vital sign monitoring
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and functional
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care measures
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and emergency services when necessary
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals
- Uphold HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems and medical software
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and reliable transportation
