Responsibilities
- Provide tier-1 technical support via phone, email, and in-person for hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity problems and system failures.
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, laptops, and peripherals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all support tickets and system documentation.
- Collaborate with the senior IT team to implement security updates and software patches.
- Conduct regular hardware inventory audits and manage asset tagging.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar technical role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, macOS, and common office applications.
- Strong understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Reliable transportation for local travel within the Kansas City metro area.
- Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including some weekends or evenings if needed.
