Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms leveraging quantum annealing and gate-model systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-time optimization in logistics and drug discovery
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature Physics and Science journals
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum AI processors
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning programs
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum annealing frameworks (D-Wave, Rigetti)
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow Quantum, and Qiskit
- Deep understanding of tensor networks and quantum entanglement protocols
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems and cryogenic engineering
