Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment by 2026
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Research and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through strategic partnerships with NASA, IBM, and MIT
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature conferences
- Drive patent portfolio expansion with 10+ quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing research with published papers in Nature/Science
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Experience securing federal grants (NSF, DOE) and corporate partnerships
- Deep understanding of superconducting qubits and cryogenic systems
- Track record of leading technical teams through project completion
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum optimization
