Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error-correction protocols and quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Conduct quantum simulations and performance benchmarking at cryogenic temperatures
- Secure patents for novel quantum gate designs and quantum memory systems
- Partner with academic institutions to publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science
- Align quantum roadmap with industry needs in cryptography, drug discovery, and materials science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and superconducting circuit design
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-million dollar R&D projects
- Strong background in machine learning integration with quantum systems
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
- Security clearance eligibility for government quantum projects
