Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit systems using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum processors with classical systems
- Research and mitigate quantum security vulnerabilities in existing infrastructure
- Lead prototyping of quantum-resistant encryption protocols for financial systems
- Document research findings and publish in leading journals/conferences
- Mentor junior engineers on quantum mechanics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in low-level hardware control and cryogenic system design
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum information theory, and computational complexity
- Proven experience with machine learning for quantum error correction
- Published research in quantum computing or cryptography
- Familiarity with NIS2 compliance frameworks for quantum security
- Ability to obtain DOE Q-level clearance for classified projects
