Job Description
Join Nexus Future Labs at the forefront of computational revolution as we pioneer quantum solutions for 2026's most complex challenges. We're seeking visionary Quantum Computing Research Engineers to architect next-gen algorithms and hardware interfaces that will redefine industries. Collaborate with Nobel laureates in our Austin innovation hub, where breakthroughs in cryptography, material science, and AI converge.
Our engineers work at the intersection of theoretical physics and practical application, leveraging state-of-the-art quantum processors and hybrid classical-quantum systems. You'll develop proprietary algorithms for optimization problems currently unsolvable by classical computers, while contributing to our open-source quantum framework used by global research institutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols and quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into quantum processor implementations
- Lead research publications in top-tier quantum computing journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum IP
- Interface with industry partners to deploy quantum solutions in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction
- Publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Expertise in at least one classical programming language (Python/C++) with quantum libraries
