Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop novel error correction techniques and quantum coherence protocols
- Lead hardware-software integration projects for quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit scalability and gate fidelity improvements
- Secure research partnerships with national labs and academic institutions
- Publish 3-5 high-impact papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Manage a team of 8-12 quantum researchers and engineers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and circuit optimization
- Proven track record in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Strong publication record in quantum computing with 10+ peer-reviewed papers
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Knowledge of superconducting, ion-trap, or photonic quantum systems
