Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing quantum error correction protocols
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and quantum startups
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Translate theoretical quantum models into deployable enterprise solutions
- Present findings at premier industry conferences (Q2C, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum machine learning applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with superconducting qubit architectures
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum cryptography standards (NIST PQCS)
- Experience leading international research consortia
