Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Quantum and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Manage a cross-disciplinary team of physicists, computer scientists, and engineers
- Develop commercial applications for near-term quantum advantage solutions
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and noise mitigation techniques
- Experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record of leading technical teams and managing research budgets
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Strong background in relevant application domains (ML, cryptography, or molecular simulation)
