Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and algorithm optimization
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment
- Manage cross-functional teams of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Develop patentable quantum solutions for enterprise clients
- Secure federal and private research funding through grant proposals
- Present breakthrough findings at premier conferences (e.g., APS March Meeting)
- Maintain partnerships with quantum hardware providers (IBM, Rigetti, etc.)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals
- Experience leading research teams of 10+ professionals
- Familiarity with quantum machine learning applications
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and quantum coherence
- Active Qiskit or Cirq certification preferred
