Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 2026 commercial viability
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD-level researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
- Secure $10M+ in DoE/NASA grants for quantum research initiatives
- Develop hybrid quantum-AI frameworks for real-time data processing
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in quantum computing research (IBM/Google/Rigetti preferred)
- Published record in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization
- Deep knowledge of superconducting qubit systems and cryogenics
- Proven ability to secure federal research grants
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum applications
