Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design and implement quantum error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
- Participate in ISO quantum standards development committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier conferences
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum processors
- Strong background in quantum error correction theory
- Proven grant-writing success with federal funding agencies
