Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software and physical qubits
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Secure and manage $5M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish 2+ high-impact papers annually
- Present findings at premier conferences like Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
