Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead cross-functional research in quantum error correction and hardware optimization
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software and physical systems
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum machine learning
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing experience
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
