As a Quantum Computing Research Scientist, you'll drive fundamental research while translating theoretical advances into practical applications. Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures

- Lead quantum software development for cloud quantum computing platforms
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallelization
- Security clearance eligibility for government projects
